THE STAYCATIONERS: The Mark Hotel

Nothing screams “chic Francophile luxury” like floor-to-ceiling marble bathrooms and architecture dripping in shiny metals with ebony and sycamore as the opulent backdrop for a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead in all their 5-star glory. Did I mention on-call personal shoppers down the street at Bergdorf Goodman? We’ll take three (a millennial can dream).

For this très Français installment at The Mark Hotel, THE STAYCATIONERS had the pleasure of snuggling up with pure prestige as they graced the hallways in LULUS, Zeus + Dione, and some heavy uptown glow courtesy of staycay beauty squad MLE Studio. Nestled on 77th and Madison, this beacon of the Upper East Side is legendary in its own right. Because when three icons of France join forces, consider yourself French toast…you’re in for one chic-to-death situation. Enter interior designer Jacques Grange, Chef Jean-Georges and hair stylist Frédéric Fekkai and their sparkling avant-garde empire — throw your diamonds to the sky if you feel the vibe.

THE SPOT: The Mark Hotel | 25 E 77th St, New York

THE STATS: 100 decadent guest rooms and 40 suites, marble lobby reminiscent of an art-deco museum, morning newspaper delivery since you can’t really Instagram The Skimm, complimentary shoe shines, deluxe gym, in-house Frederic Fekkai salon, and on-the-go Central Park picnics curated by Chef Jean-Georges. The Mark Restaurant and Bar also widely known for late-night celeb hangs (aka Woody Allen’s hideaway).

PERFECT FOR: Vicariously living as Blair Waldorf for a weekend.

A dash of highlighter here, a stroke of liquid gold there, THE STAYCATIONERS got primped out post champagne toast from our suitcase full of hidden Madison Avenue treasures, working their best angles for the camera. As all goddesses do before their close-ups, the crew moisturized using SHRAY facemasks, not forgetting their SPF regimen to stay forever young, courtesy of Pharmagel and Sun Therapé Pro Sport. With porcelain skin, mischief in their eyes, and Fekkai Blowout products in their locks, THE STAYCATIONERS embarked on an enchanted night at The Mark.

Basking in hospitality greatness sure works up a mean appetite. Time for a dinner reservation compliments of the legend himself, Chef Jean-Georges. THE STAYCATIONERS swapped their monogrammed french terry for LULUS chiffon and Zeus + Dione silk, and they were on their way to a feast fit for…well, themselves.

When it rains in New York City, it pours. But not on The Mark’s watch…these signature umbrellas didn’t hurt either. Is it happy hour yet?

No lady of luxury could slip into 600 thread count Quagliotti sheets on an empty stomach…good thing THE STAYCATIONERS saved room for the slowly cooked salmon (with mashed potatoes, bok choy and ginger chili vinegarette), chicken and coconut milk soup, and a juicy cheeseburger with black truffle dressing (le duh). The girls washed down what was left of their woes with late night apéritifs and a salted caramel sundae. Au revoir forever.
