THE STAYCATIONERS: MOXY TIMES SQUARE
Any real New Yorker knows to avoid 42nd St. at all costs usually, but now that the MOXY has officially opened its doors in Times Square, THE STAYCATIONERS were willing to make an exception. Dressed in their Midtown finest (furs and all), the crew bravely headed straight for the belly of the beast to explore the whimsical millennial playland for themselves. Enter if you dare.
THE SPOT: MOXY Times Square | 485 7th Avenue, New York
THE STATS: 612 camping-inspired guest rooms | Urban amusement park AKA Magic Hour | Pet-friendly service | Local, sustainable seafood at Tao Group’s Legasea restaurant | Copper-wrapped lobby bar | 24/7 fitness center
PERFECT FOR: Getting your “glamp” on in the heart of the Big Apple
THE STAYCATIONERS settled in after bushwhacking their way through unruly tourists and comedy show promoters; now to prepare for an adventurous evening ahead with a GINGERCHI skin care regimen. Stay salty or glow…the decision is yours.
The next stop in this hotel funhouse? A indoor/outdoor lounge that doubles as a circus in the sky. Featuring five distinct environments, MAGIC HOUR is the classic New York City hotel rooftop bar reimagined. With epic views of the Empire State Building, antique carousel lounge seating, state fair-inspired bites and a sweet putt-putt course, it’s everything your Instagram grid could ever want. Another round, please.
Cat wears a Jacqueline Then top.
Backgammon, foosball, life-size Jenga…if you’re in the mood to play, Moxy’s the place to be. Throw in some designer duds courtesy of Dreams on Air and THE STAYCATIONERS were feeling fiercer than ever (and ready to win).
Kelsey wears Amina Marie Millinery hat, Flower dress from Liana Camba by FDL and necklaces from Vanile on the Rock by FDL. Jordyn wears a Bello Belt.
When it comes to Saturday night plans, THE STAYCATIONERS always dress the part. In anticipation for a buzzy dinner reservation, they layered on the silk, fringe, velvet and fur. Because if you don’t command the room, why even bother stepping out?
Cat wears Pablo Garibi jacket. Jordyn wears Sorelle by FDL flatforms and a NARCISS by Alise Trautman skirt. Alexandra wears a Stacey Wang leather bow tie. Kelsey wears a Stacey Wang leather bow tie and Ainslie Devoe dress.
If a seafood feast that begins and ends with decadent cocktails is enough to get you going, then consider yourself SERVED at Bar Moxy and Legasea restaurant. THE STAYCATIONERS kicked off the evening with a festive selection of apéritifs: Oaxacan on Sunshine, Bitten and Burned, Dirty Donkey and South American Swag, just to name a few. As the feast commenced, endless orders of honey-nut squash Tempura, diver sea scallops and a trio of veggie dips with hot bomba bread hit the spot. The epic World’s Fair sundae was the cherry on top of this carnival-chic experience.
Keep up with THE STAYCATIONERS as they take over new hotels in new cities each month. This round made possible by Moxy Times Square, Dreams On Air, GINGERCHI, ALEKKA and makeup by Erica Frempong
