Nestled in Miami Beach’s historic Collins Park is a revitalized 1940s Art Moderne building where a seamless blend of past and present greets you at the door. THE STAYCATIONERS MIAMI are checking into The Plymouth Hotel for the weekend…cue the retro vibes.
THE SPOT: The Plymouth | 336 21st Street, Miami Beach
THE STATS: 110 Restoration Hardware-furnished rooms, gorgeous interior design by Fernando Santangelo, Art Deco pool, charming poolside café, and the critically-acclaimed Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill
PERFECT FOR: uber-chic yet unpretentious ‘South of France’ vibes, accented by artsy interior design and delicious food and drinks in dreamy settings. Photo ops abound.
First things first (you know it): food. THE STAYCATIONERS make a beeline for the charming Plymouth Café; poolside brunch is calling.
There is no doubt the Art Deco vibes are in full effect as we throw on our Elisabetta Sammarco swimsuits and our chicest garb to become one with the glamorous pool. But not before indulging in a little Kombrewcha (you know, kombucha with a kick).
As day turns to night, THE STAYCATIONERS clean up nice, décolletés dripping in M16 Jewelry. It’s only natural given the epic dinner and drinks at renowned Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill – the South Beach outpost by sushi master Toshi Ueki and Chefs Bruce and Eric Bromberg. Pass the sashimi.
So far, The Plymouth has THE STAYCATIONERS feeling mighty fine. So, to keep the self-indulgent vibes going, the gals took the lobby photo session back up to the room. Because every little corner at The Plymouth is a photo op waiting to happen, even the bathrooms. Sip, pose, snap, repeat.
It’s a brand new day, and THE STAYCATIONERS head straight to the lobby for The Plymouth’s complimentary breakfast. Yes, you read that right — complimentary and totally legit. The crew takes it to go in order to savor it en suite before woefully checking out. Until next time!
Keep up with THE STAYCATIONERS as they take over new hotels in new cities each month. This round made possible by The Plymouth Hotel, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, Kombrewcha, M16 Jewelry, and Elisabetta Sammarco.
