THE STAYCATIONERS CHICAGO: THE TALBOTT

After an epic four-month renovation, a historic 1927 building reopens its doors…enter The Talbott, where a bygone era meets contemporary Chicago in a flurry of subtle neutrals and pops of design on a canvas of 1920s glamour. Needless to say, THE STAYCATIONERS are here for it all. Can Kara Mann design our apartments, too?

THE SPOT: The Talbott | 20 E Delaware Pl, Chicago

THE STATS: 178 guest rooms, contemporary American dining at 20 East, state-of-the-art fitness center, dog-friendly accommodations

PERFECT FOR: Staying in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast, next to the fashionable boutiques of the Mag Mile, and getting lost in posh coffee table books inside an Insta-worthy lobby

Cue the 9am wake up call—THE STAYCATIONERS craved coffee and highlighter, preferably at the same time. Room service came a-knocking with Karli Zuker and Lindy Wade of Stylisted right behind. A gorgeous airbrush job alongside a pro hair-straightening sesh made THE STAYCATIONERS look 10pm fierce at 10am real time.

Like any good staycation, things start off with a few casual sips, but the crew quickly progressed to to pouring White Claw down the hatch. Whoops? It’s hard seltzer, aka the greatest form of duality to grace the earth, so what we’re trying to say is…let. it. rain. And while robe life is the best life (obviously), we tore ourselves away long enough to change into something a bit more fabulous. Stylist Elizabeth Margulis of Big Hair Big City fitted us in Friday’s best. From Nakamol Jewelry to Hammer Made and from Stuart Weitzman to Top Shop (with a little Saint Laurent and Dior courtesy of Luxury Garage Sale in between), THE STAYCATIONERS strutted their stuff, rolling the Radens around in style.

What’s the fun in feeding yourself when someone can do it for you? In classic staycay fashion, THE STAYCATIONERS got up close and personal. The outdoor patio under the warm Chicago sun was the ideal setting for creamy burrata, smoked salmon, chopped cobb salad, lobster rolls, crispy brick chicken, elote-style cream corn…oh sorry, forgot you were here. Warning: graphic content below (mouth may involuntarily water).

Keep up with THE STAYCATIONERS as they take over new hotels in new cities each month. This round made possible by The Talbott, White Claw, and Raden.
