Gallons of pool water, bottomless spiked slushies, and the AC blasting in a room that feels like your own personal campground… if you’re wondering how four urban glamazons survived the desert heat of Palm Springs, THE STAYCATIONERS are here to spill the beans.

While it may look like they are lightyears away from home, this transient troupe touched down at the SoCal destination of their dreams: a boho-rustic compound with palms generating enough shade to eclipse the haters, otherwise known as The Ace Hotel & Swim Club. Let’s check in, shall we?

THE STATS: 176 guest rooms, King’s Highway restaurant: an ex Denny’s turned chic AF diner, The Amigo Room lounge featuring loud and proud Karaoke nights, two expansive pools with enough floaties to go around, and the ultimate relaxation oasis — Feel Good Spa.

PERFECT FOR: A West Coast road trip that feels more like an intergalactic getaway.

No AM routine is complete without a fresh-off-the-pillow Instagram scroll. After their much-needed ‘stories’ catch-up sesh, THE STAYCATIONERS took one last moment to veg out in all their morning glory — made even cozier with striped, cotton flannel robes via Atelier Ace.

“Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side.” If the wild side means trekking through 115 degree temperatures, then you can bet that THE STAYCATIONERS were fully equipped with matching IRISHLATINA swimsuits to beat the heat. With utopian palms in the distance and a pool day on their agenda, keeping it cool wasn’t so hard after all.

 

As the sun set over Midcentury Modern Mars, it was THE STAYCATIONERS’ looks that started heating up. Head-to-toe IRISHLATINA + some cosmic-cool Izaskun Zabala jewels were all it took for the squad to feel straight up otherworldly.

Ready for their family portrait and a night of Cali-Mexican comfort food, THE STAYCATIONERS kept it ~fuego~ with another IRISHLATINA outfit change before heading off to King’s Highway. What exactly were they in for at the 70s-inspired roadside diner notorious for its award winning chef and lit bingo nights? Cotija & crème fraîche nachos, a Tijuana take on the classic Caesar, and the gooiest tartine you ever did see — just to name a few.

Then, it was back to the pool for a night swim and nightcap, because it’s the desert and a STAYCATIONER is thirsty…
